The Kingdom of Thailand has, for centuries, graciously invited visitors to explore its exotic cities, enjoy its lush countryside and laze about on its spectacular beaches. Its colourful culture and traditions set the scene for as many memorable experiences off the golf course as on the course. Then, add Cambodia, a long forgotten kingdom, to the mix with its ancient temples and mystical jungles and you’ve got a tour that will deliver an awe-inspiring experience that will stay with you long after you’ve left.

Affectionately known as the ‘land of smiles’ there’s nowhere in the world where you will feel more welcome and spoilt than in the Kingdom of Thailand. We’ve hand-picked the best-ranked championship courses where experienced caddies will make you feel like you are in seventh heaven. They find your ball, rake your bunkers, fill your divots and repair your pitch marks before lining up your putt. This is golfing nirvana.

Crossing the border to Cambodia, you will discover a country with a rich tapestry of culture, religion and some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. Siem Reap will delight you as the gateway to the ancient temples of the mighty Angkor Wat. With its five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters into the sky, it is truly a monumental and awe-inspiring sight. The Khmer cooking class, night markets, floating villages and two exceptional courses will ensure Siem Reap will always hold a special place in your heart and photo gallery.

Fully escorted by an experienced Go Golfing host and charming local guides who passionately share stories, this tour combines magnificent scenery, an exotic cuisine that you will crave long after the tour, magical experiences and a healthy dose of luxury.

Come early and explore Chiang Mai, the rose of northern Thailand. Extend your stay and discover more of Cambodia with Phnom Penh.

DAY 1: Sunday 16 September 2018 BANGKOK

On arrival you’ll be greeted at Bangkok International airport and transferred to the Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok, conveniently located on Sukhumvit Road. Take the afternoon and evening to do a spot of shopping or savour a cocktail on a rooftop bar.

Hotel: Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok

DAY 2: Monday 17 September BANGKOK

Bangkok was once called “Venice of the East”. It was filled with hundreds of small canals which locals used to get around and this morning we’ll discover the remnants of those canals. We make our way to Thonburi, a charming residential neighborhood west of the Chao Phraya River, where we’ll board a long-tail boat and navigate down its narrow waterways lined with wooden houses. On the way, we visit Wat Arun, one of Bangkok’s most iconic Buddhist temples and the Royal Barges Museum which stores an impressive collection of intricately decorated barges. We’ll finish our tour with a group lunch by the riverside.

Tonight, we get together for a scenic sunset cruise dinner.

DAY 6: Friday 21 September HUA HIN

This morning, we take in the best Hua Hin has on offer on a half day tour. We start with the Maruekhathaiyawan Palace, the seaside summer residence of King Rama VI in the 1920’s. You can almost imagine court servants scurrying down the corridors, going about their daily business, while the king and royal consorts take residence in the royal chambers. Also a remnant of bygone times, you’ll visit the picturesque Hua Hin train station and its Royal Waiting Room which was used by Thai Royals when they visited their summer Palace. We end our tour with Khao Takiab, also called Monkey Mountain, with its temples and 20-metre tall Buddha Statue overlooking the sea. Here we have a great viewpoint of the Hua Hin coastline. The rest of the day is at your leisure

(B) Hotel: Centara Grand Beach Resort

DAY 7: Saturday 22 September HUA HIN

Banyan Golf Club is always a favourite. Located in a rustic rural setting meandering through native pineapple groves and jungle, this 2008 layout does vie for the Country’s best and compares with any in the Asia Pacific region. Big bold bunkering and scenic vistas greet you as you step out of the clubhouse. As you survey your opening shot, you’ll immediately realise you’re in for a treat.

Non-golfers: Today is yours to do as you wish – You may like to enjoy the resort’s facility or if you’d like to step back in time, you can visit the Plern Wan Vintage Village, a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Catch a glimpse of Hua Hin’s bygone days, browsing the old-fashion shophouses.

Black Mountain dominates as one of the best and most challenging courses in Thailand and is rightfully ranked the best course in Asia. Creative bunkering will get you thinking and the closing hole uphill to a green protected by deep faced bunkers will be an impressive finish.

Non-golfers: Today you get treated to a relaxing massage.

Tonight, we get together for a group BBQ seafood dinner at the hotel.

(B,D) Hotel: Centara Grand Beach Resort

DAY 12: Thursday 27 September SIEM REAP

While small by Angkor standards, the 10th century red sandstone structure is famous for its intricate and well-preserved carvings. We continue to Preah Dak Village and walk amongst basket weavers, Khmer noodle makers and local craftsmen.

After lunch, our next stop is Banteay Kdei temple, the Citadel of Chambers. Its ruins are a fascinating maze of chambers that are a delight to explore. It is overgrown and seemingly forgotten and its solitude and mystery are refreshing.
