DAY 1: Tuesday 11 February JOHANNESBURG

Welcome to South Africa! You’ll be greeted with a friendly smile by our South African guide at O.R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg). From here, you’ll be transferred to The Maslow Hotel in the heart of the well-heeled area of Sandton in Johannesburg. Your evening is at leisure to relax or explore the local area. Perhaps a quick trip to Nelson Mandela Square or SAB World of Beer is in order.

DAY 2: Wednesday 12 February JOHANNESBURG TO SUN CITY

This morning we travel to Sun City, South Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure. This fully integrated lifestyle resort is a world within a city. It has a glitzy casino, water park, spa, restaurants, bars, boutiques, and most importantly, two world-class Gary Player- designed courses. You’ll be staying at Sun City’s Cascades Hotel, characterised by its tiered silhouette that rises out of its tropical surroundings like an Aztec temple. This evening we’ll bond over a welcome dinner and drinks as we get to know our fellow tour members and new found friends.

DAY 3: Thursday 13 February SUN CITY

Anticipation will be running high this morning as we prepare for our first game. You’ll be keen to tee it up on the Lost City Golf Course. This desert style course is surrounded by spectacular views across the African wilderness. Beware of the famous 13th, a par 3 with Nile crocodiles residing in the moat around the green!

Non-golfers: Choose between a 1 hour Segway tour of Sun City or a trip to Predator World to see Africa’s predator species up close and personal.

(B, LG) Hotel: Sun City, Cascades Hotel

DAY 4: Friday 14 February SUN CITY

This morning you’ll play the famed Gary Player No1 course together with your own experienced caddy. This course offers lightning fast putting surfaces, constant changes in elevation and challenging water hazards. Its kikuyu fairways and bent- grass greens provide the perfect playing surface. You’ll find the highly experienced resident caddies a tremendous help. So much so, you’ll want them every time you play.

This afternoon is yours to explore Sun City.

We return to the hotel in the afternoon to unwind for a few hours before heading to the Shangaan River Club for dinner and a show. You’ll be immersed in a feast of culture with a night of song and dance and an unforgettable African Banquet.

Get ready for a fascinating round at Steenberg Golf Course. Play your way through pine-treed parklands, wetlands, and heathlands in this course that embraces its natural surroundings. The entire vacation was memorable. The country was beautiful, the golf courses challenging and scenic; and Nic, the tour leader was exceptionally good. It is one holiday I haven’t stopped raving about.

Richard, 2019 South Africa Golf Safari

In terms of the golf, all courses were first class. Landing near a crocodile at the Lost City 13th hole was a WOW moment. The views of the Indian Ocean at Pezula and Oubaai were spectacular. All accommodation was 4 or 5 star with very friendly staff and good food. The tour was a good mix of touring and golfing. I’d recommend it to any golfer/non-golfer couples

Jeffrey, 2018 South Africa Golf Safari

We had a great time all the courses were great. Our accommodation was excellent and all the people we played with were very friendly. Our host Nick was great.

Carolyn, 2019 South Africa Golf Safari

We loved the game parks and were lucky to see so many animals in their natural environment. The golf courses were all good, particularly those around George which had fantastic views. Our guide (Nic) made our trip in many ways – the organisation of the days, the smooth handling of luggage, golf bags, check ins and fantastic information about what we were seeing.

Roslyn, 2018 South Africa Golf Safari

South Africa is a beautiful place to visit. The golf courses and accommodation were wonderful, a special mention to the guide Nic who handled everything put to him. Everyone that I know who has been to South Africa has enjoyed the trip, so do what you have been doing and keep up the good work!

Wendy, 2019 South Africa Golf Safari

I would say to a friend that they should go and do it as it was a lot of fun and very well organized. The golf was great and the completion good with a well developed scoring and handicap system. The sightseeing and Kruger National Park was great with our encounter with an elephant good for many stories over a drink for years to come
