You’ll wake with excitement as anticipation for our first round at Joondalup Country Club runs high. Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr, the championship course blends challenging golf with incredible surrounds. This spectacular yet uncompromising layout sweeps across dense bushland, cuts through steep limestone quarries and skirts picturesque lakes to present surprises and challenges at almost every turn. One minute you’re playing an approach shot beneath a 30-metre limestone cliff, the next you’re adapting to the fresh ocean breeze on an undulating links style fairway.

Non-golfers will enjoy a visit to the Perth Mint and discover the extraordinary stories behind the history of gold in Western Australia.

DAY 4: Thursday 12 March PERTH TO MANDURAH

After breakfast, we spend some time exploring the beautiful Swan Valley region, famous for world-class cheeses and boutique wineries. We then continue south to introduce you to the team at Millbrook Winery, where we’ll have a private tour and wine tasting, and enjoy a mouth-watering lunch to tantalise all of your epicurean desires. Tonight we stay in waterfront luxury at the Sebel Hotel overlooking the Mandurah estuary.
(B, L) Hotel: The Sebel, Mandurah

DAY 5: Friday 13 March MANDURAH

With a hearty breakfast under our belt, we make our way to Secret Harbour Golf Club. A Graham Marsh design, the Scottish links style layout features sharp doglegs, strategic lakes and immaculately manicured rolling fairways. A spectacular seaside location, enjot panoramic views of the Indian Ocean as your dramatic backdrop for much of today’s round. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy the ambience of the clubhouse and a brasserie lunch.

Non-golfers glide over the famous canals of Mandurah on a Dolphin & Scenic Canal Cruise. Relax as you make your way through the serenely calm waterways of the Mandurah Estuary. Keep on the lookout for playful dolphins and a variety of birdlife.
(B, L) Hotel: The Sebel, Mandurah

Day 6: Saturday 14 March MANDURAH

Today is your chance to make “The Cut”. Regularly rated as the top 4 courses in Western Australia, award-winning The Cut Golf Course will provide a fitting test for all. A true links experience on the dunes by the seaside town of Mandurah. Coastal winds and its challenging layout are reminiscent of those in Ireland and Scotland. After some time for lunch and a drink or two at the 19th hole, we’ll head back to Mandurah in time for you to explore this quaint coastal town.

Non-golfers enjoy a day at leisure. The Mandurah Crab Festival kicks off today and is in full swing for you to enjoy an oceanside seafood lunch and endless entertainment.
(B) Hotel: The Sebel, Mandurah

DAY 7: Sunday 15 March MANDURAH

The annual Mandurah Crab Festival has won gold for the last three years consecutively at the Western Australia Tourism Awards – it’s safe to say, this is one event you don’t want to miss! Crab Fest sees the local community gather at the township’s foreshore to celebrate its favourite native delicacy: the blue swimmer crab. We hear you can go through more than 40 different crab dishes and a number of other delicacies, all prepared by local eateries and seafood purveyors. The Crab Fest weekend also holds loads of entertainment, including local and Channel 7 celebrity chefs on the cooking stage and a stellar line-up of national stars on the music stage. There is so much on offer, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

(B) Hotel: The Sebel

After a leisurely morning, we’ll spend a decadent afternoon at the award-winning Vasse Felix Margaret River, this is one of the most highly regarded experiences from past tours. This incredible estate is recognised as one of Australia’s drawcard winery destinations. We’ll enjoy a carefully prepared five-course tasting menu paired with wines and hosted by the estate’s sommelier who will be joining us for lunch to educate us on their pairings and world-famous wines. Very happy and maybe a little tipsy, you’ll find your voice for a singalong enroute to our beachfront digs at Bunker Bay.
(B,L) Hotel: The Sebel

DAY 9: Tuesday 17 March MARGARET RIVER

Today’s round is at the resort layout of Dunsborough Lakes. Large water features and greens make for an enjoyable round at this resort style course. Recently reviewed by Scott Designs, Dunsborough Lakes is regarded as one of the best maintained courses in the South West down under.

Non-golfers enjoy a morning at leisure before reuniting with golfers for a free afternoon to take advantage of the 5-star facilities of your resort.
(B) Hotel: Pullman Bunker Bay

A full day tour of sensational Margaret River awaits. We make our way to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, with a stop at Augusta for morning tea. Cape Leeuwin is Australia’s most South-Westerly point, where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. It’s so stunning, we’re sure even those who never take photos will be inspired to grab a few happy snaps. Nearby, we’ll marvel at the grandeur of Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge beneath the soaring Karri Forest. We’ll stop for lunch in Margaret River with a little time to explore the artisan boutiques. The afternoon is for tastings at Laurance Winery and a popular stop at the Bootleg Brewery.
(B) Hotel: Pullman Bunker Bay

DAY 11: Thursday 19 March SWAN VALLEY

It’s time to say goodbye to Margaret River and make our way back to Perth. On the way, we’ll stop at the iconic Busselton Jetty, the second-longest wooden jetty in the world. There’s time for lunch and a stretch of the legs before arriving mid afternoon in Swan Valley on the outskirts on Perth where we’ll check into the famed golf resort, The Vines.
(B) Hotel: The Vines Resort, Swan Valley

DAY 12: Friday 20 March SWAN VALLEY

Simply step out of your hotel for this morning’s round. The choice of course is yours.

Option 1: Play the Lakes course – 6:30am tee start.

Option 2: Play the Ellenbrook course – 9am tee start.

The Lakes, like all good championship courses, takes some thinking. Ranked #5 in Australia’s best golf resorts, course architects Graham Marsh and Ross Watson strategically used the stunning Swan Valley landscape to produce a challenging yet alluring course that commands respect. You’ll find many risk and reward holes along the gently undulating layout with water hazards and deep bunkers sprinkled throughout.

Non-golfers enjoy a day at leisure to explore the luxurious facilities of The Vines Resort. Indulge yourself at the Keishi Day Spa or relax your senses in a private float pod. (Own cost).

Tonight, enjoy a group dinner.
(B, D) Hotel: The Vines Resort, Swan Valley

DAY 13: Saturday 21 March SWAN VALLEY

This morning, tee off for your final round at th resort style Ellenbrook Course at The Vines. The landscaping areas on the fairways, for the most part, are generous enough for the average golfer, but a premium has been put on the consequence of finishing in either a bunker or in the drink.

Non-golfers enjoy a day at leisure. 15 minutes from your resort, you’ll find the Whiteman Park, a conservation reserve. Pick up a souvenir at the village shops, meet the local roos at the wildlife park or jump on a vintage train ride. (Own cost).

We join together tonight for our celebratory dinner in Muscats Restaurant, toasting our victors and new-found friendships.

We had a ball! You really should go on one!

Ann, Margaret River 2017

The trip was absolutely wonderful. The smaller group (22) made for a very enjoyable golfing experience. We have been on a number of Go Golfing holidays, but this trip along with the Scotland and Ireland holiday is up there with the best.

Phil, Margaret River 2017

Could not have been much better! Very good and different holiday with challenging golf courses. Great group of people who mixed very well. Excellent food and wine. Much humour. Loved the region and its history.

Brian, Margaret River 2017

Golf courses were excellent especially The Cut, Joondalup and Meadow Springs. I really enjoyed the 2 lunches at Milford and Vasse Felix wineries. The Swan River cruise and the lunch at Sandalford was a great day.

David, Margaret River 2017

Vasse Felix was an amazing winery, had heard of it before from friends who have enjoyed their tasting menu…WOW!!!!! I have nothing but praise for the accommodation, the golf, the wineries and friends that I have made and our driver of course! Congrats Go Golfing on a great tour, thank you so much for the effort and organisation that went into this event.

Rhonda, Margaret River 2017

Loved the golf courses and the welcome at each – favourites were Joondalup, Secret Harbour and The Cut. The Vines had great friendly service and Mandurah Sebel was great to stay where we could walk to a choice of good restaurants. Bunker Bay beach was beautiful and so peaceful. Host and bus driver were great, friendly and looked after everything. Millbrook winery day and Vasse Felix lunch were real highlights – such fantastic service, wines and food.
