Links and Legends Scotland Golf Tour

12 – 16 June 2024

5 Days | 3 Rounds of Golf

Tee off on the Scottish Golf Origins Tour, where golfing legends were born. As you arrive in the enchanting city of Edinburgh, prepare to embark on an extraordinary journey through the birthplace of golf. Your first stop is the legendary Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, nestled in the heart of where it all began. Raise a glass to the rich heritage of Scottish golf as you enjoy welcome drinks, marking the start of your unforgettable golfing adventure. Cheers to a memorable stay in the home of golf! Welcome drinks will be served.

On this fully-hosted golf tour, you will play the oldest ‘new’ course in the world, the second course at the Home of Golf, St Andrews was built by the Keeper of the Green, Tom Morris in 1895 and it was imaginatively named to differentiate from its famous neighbour. Boasting undulating fairways and challenging greens, the New Course is a classic test of links golf.

You will also play Elie links – the course is steeped in history and dates back to 1589, when a royal charter was passed granting the villagers official permission to play over the links. James Braid, 5-times winner of The Open who was born in nearby Earlsferry, described the 13th hole at Elie as ‘the best hole in golf’. A fine links course, this is worth a visit for golfers staying in and around the St Andrews area.

For your last course you will play Kingsbarns Links. Situated 7 miles from St Andrews along 1.8 miles of picturesque North Sea coastline, where each hole embraces the sea. In addition to enjoying our Worldwide Top 100 ranked course, we hope lifelong memories of our comfortable, friendly and attentive service complete your “Kingsbarns Experience”. Kingsbarns co-hosts the annual European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship together with the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie Golf Links. In 2017 Kingsbarns hosted The Ricoh Women’s British Open.

Non-golfers are well-looked after with a schedule of activities while the golfers indulge in their passion.

The courses were absolutely spectacular, especially Old Head and the glorious Adare Manor. The Adare Manor accommodation was beyond comparisons and a great way to finish the tour. Being able to see the Cliffs of Moher was an added bonus. Graeme was a great host and very accommodating.

James, 2019

Fantastic trip with truly wonderful golf courses. All the golf courses were excellent, but the stand out day was at Old Head, where we were blessed with a deep blue sky and the contrast of the green against the sea. The falconry excursion was amazing, as one got up close with these birds. Adare Manor was amazing and a real treat.

Di and Stephen, 2019

So many wow moments for me, very hard to explain this to my friends and family who are all non golfers!!!!!! I love the history of golf and the pure links courses, they are all wow to me.

Rosalie, 2019

Put this tour on your bucket list as the golf courses we played are absolutely awesome. Great links courses mostly played on the British Open rotation.

Jaysen, 2017

Ireland is a wonderful place to golf! We were blessed with spectacular weather. The accommodations and golf courses were outstanding! Old Head was my favorite because of the challenge and the beauty. Everything was very organised and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The team competition was an excellent way to meet others on the tour.

Ann Margaret, 2017

I’ve done a lot of tours with Go Golfing but Old Head is a standout. Magnificent, stunning, challenging. We had great weather and all four of us played well. My most memorable day ever on a golf course.

Elaine, 2017
