EMIRATES GOLF CLUB
ABU DHABI DUNE BASH & HOTSPOTS
BECAUSE WE’RE HAPPY
This deliciously indulgent 5-star fully escorted golf tour celebrates Dubai and Abu Dhabi, taking you on a journey through crumbling deserts, towering cityscapes, fascinating traditional marketplaces and amazingly lush golf courses. Some of the biggest names in golf – Greg Norman, Nick Faldo, Pete Dye, Kyle Phillips, Gary Player and Colin Montgomerie, just to name a few – have created world-class designs that have lured the world’s top golfers to compete for breathtaking prize money.
The golf here is like none other in the world, with courses sprouting from seemingly barren sand dunes. The clubhouses are spectacular. The attitude here has always been to strive for the best. If the Emirati haven’t got it, they buy it or build it and it’s got to be bigger and more lavish than anywhere else in the world.
Beyond the glitz and glam these cities are known for, awaits a mosaic of a rich culture that highlights the Bedouin heritage and colourful traditions of story-telling, song, dance and falconry. You’ll sample exquisite food that bursts with flavour and spice. You’ll gaze at the gold-laden markets and multi-storey shopping hubs. You’ll feed your adventurous side with a desert safari and traditional Arabian barbeque accompanied by a starlit belly dance show.
This place will bring all your senses to life, it’s energetic, it’s fascinating. We guarantee you won’t want to leave. Fully escorted by an experienced Go Golfing host, we guarantee this golf tour to Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be a trip of a lifetime.
Arrive at the airport to be welcomed by our friendly local guide for your private transfer to the 5-star Intercontinental Dubai Marina located right in the heart of Dubai Marina. After some time to get settled in and dust off any jetlag, we get together for a drink.

Anticipation is high this morning as we’re set to play our first round at the Els Golf Club. Designed by the South African former world number one Ernie Els, it’s known as a desert links course, and certain holes are inspired by his personal favourite courses; Bunkers are based on Royal Melbourne and greens resemble Pinehurst. It’s considered to be a challenging play due to undulating elevation changes and extensive use of strategically placed sand traps.
Refresh and unwind after golf in the elegant clubhouse facilities – with locker rooms complete with jacuzzis, steam rooms and saunas – before we make our way to our welcome dinner at the Club (includes drinks).

Today you discover Dubai. Pack your camera as we’ll take you to some of the most picturesque places in all of Dubai. Our first stop is the Marina and then the iconic Burj Al Arab Hotel (striking sail-shaped building), the Jumeirah Mosque, said to be one of the most photographed in all of Dubai, and the Gold & Spice Souk markets filled with dazzling gold jewellery and colourful spices. We explore the Dubai Mall and then head to the Burj Khalifa observation deck to view the city from 160 storeys up!
Evening at leisure.

The Faldo course at the Emirates Golf Club is built around sand dunes on the edge of Dubai. The course’s namesake, Nick Faldo, created a layout that incorporates his trademark tees and bunkers with the naturally rugged terrain to create a visually stunning design. The clubhouse is something special, modelled like Bedouin tents. It remains one of the most iconic clubhouses in the region.
This evening you’ll enjoy a dinner cruise on a traditional Arabian dhow, gliding along the Dubai Marina. A dinner cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the exquisite ‘light show’ New Dubai delivers with its collection of skyscrapers. The two-hour cruise follows the marina that showcases some of the most iconic Dubai attractions. What better way to see the city?

This morning we make our way to Abu Dhabi and check-in at the glamorous Yas Viceroy Hotel amid the Yas Marina and famed Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Circuit. The 5-star iconic hotel, half built on land and water, is the only hotel to straddle an F1 race course.
After lunch at the hotel, you’ll unleash your wild side with an exciting desert safari, where the group will dune bash in 4×4 SUV’s across the Abu Dhabi desert. With a few stops for some sandy happy snaps along the way, we’ll reach our campsite just in time to watch the sun sink below the horizon and enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and shisha before watching a starlit dance performance.
(B,L,D) Hotel: Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi
Our first round of golf in Abu Dhabi is at the Middle East’s ONLY true links course: Yas Links. Nestled on the western shores of Yas Island, every hole has sparkling coastline views of the Arabian Gulf – indeed eight holes run right up along the coastline.
A favourite with UAE-based players, the course has recently been acclaimed as one of ‘The World’s Top City Golf Clubs’ by CNN Travel and has also been named amongst the world’s most beautiful by MSN UK. You may struggle to focus solely on your swing today – the view is just that good.
Dinner will be at the Viceroy.
(B) Hotel: Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi
We start the day with a guided tour of this laidback city. We’ll pay visit to Emirates Palace where you’ll enjoy their famous Palace Cappucino. Sprinkled in real 24 carat gold flakes, this is the epitome of indulgence. We’ll stroll along the waterfront Corniche on the North-Western shore of the city with its picturesque white sandy beaches. The highlight will the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the key sites of worship, accommodating over 41,000 worshippers. With more than 80 marble domes held aloft by 1000 pillars and punctuated by four 107 m-high minarets, the Grand Mosque is a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture and design.
Tonight, you can again take your pick of the Viceroy dining experiences for dinner.

Described as a “super course”, the 162 hectares of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club features one of the finest championship courses. It provides a fair challenge, with lush fairways, strategically placed bunkers and generous greens. This oasis of tranquillity carved out of the desert, offers one of the most luxurious golf resort experiences in the Middle East. Situated majestically overlooking the golf course is the iconic, Falcon Clubhouse. Built in the shape of a falcon with its wings outstretched it peers over the 9th and 18th greens. Built in 2000, the Falcon clubhouse pays homage to the UAE’s national bird and recognises the importance of falconry in Arab tradition and culture.
This afternoon, the city is yours to discover – relax by the pool or explore one of the many city sights! Dinner is included at the Viceroy.
(B,D) Hotel: Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi
We cannot leave Abu Dhabi without a visit to the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. That’s right, we’ll take a unique opportunity to see falcons up-close and gain a deeper insight into the world of these majestic birds. Falcons are an integral part of Gulf culture and no expense is spared in caring for these magnificent birds. If you’re willing to brave an arm, the well-behaved raptors will even perch for a photograph.
After a group lunch, we board our coach back to Dubai where we check into the Sofitel Downtown. The hotel offers panoramic views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain and is just a stroll away from the Dubai Mall and City Walk.

Trump International Golf Club Dubai is one “helluva course”. It evokes the style and substance of course architect Gil Hanse’ Olympic Course in Rio. Trump Dubai announces its intentions on the 1st hole, a stout par 4 that shares a massive double fairway with No. 9. “I know this is blasphemy,” says Hanse, laughing, “but the inspiration was the first hole of the Old Course. People haven’t seen anything of that scale and size in the Middle East.”
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

The Dubai Creek Club dominates the city’s enchanting waterfront as it overlooks the creek and Marina. Opening in January 1993 to world acclaim it has been host to numerous tournaments and events, including the Dubai Desert Classic on two occasions.
This evening we’ll join together for our final group dinner toasting our champions and reminiscing on the great memories and friendships made.

A 10 out of 10 holiday for us, wonderful golf courses, excellent hotels and excursions. We had a very witty, enthusiastic tour leader. I would highly recommend this Dubai tour to any golfer. Right from the first email from Go Golfing to saying farewell to the group was very positive. The introduction book was a wonderful idea, got to know other group members before we left. Looking forward to another trip in 2018.
Ross (Colyton, NSW)
The mix of golf courses and presentation has to be seen to be believed and I would recommend this experience to any golfer. A very well organised golf tour. The accommodation was fantastic. I selected this tour because the number of games of golf suited me. The sightseeing was fantastic with very well educated guides and a sense of humour. Our tour guide Wally is a real people’s man and left no stone unturned in his organisation of the group.
Eric (Perth, WA)
Visiting Dubai and Abu Dhabi was a trip of a lifetime, with golf being an added bonus! Our tour guide in Abu Dhabi was amazing and so knowledgeable about the country and their customs. The Falcon Hospital was unforgettable and one of my “must see” tours. The accommodation was upscale and overall wonderful. The golf courses were first class, what more can I say! Met some awesome people. Our host Wally was amazing. He really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and memorable.
