The Championship will be a 72-hole single stableford event. “A” grade golfers will also be eligible to compete in a 72-hole ‘gross’ event. Competition rounds will be conducted on Monday 16, Tuesday 17, Thursday 19, and Friday 20 October 2023.
You are guaranteed to play with golfers your own age and standard (35-55, 56-65 & 66+ for men & ladies). Divisions played in A, B & C grades (max h’cap 36men; 45 ladies). Age and handicap divisions may be adjusted based on entries.
In partnership with GOLFLink (Australia) and International Golf Associations, the tournament committee will review the 6-month playing history of all entrants. The tournament committee reserves the right to amend player handicaps.
The ‘slope handicap system’ will be utilised to calculate player handicaps for the Championship rounds. Under the slope system, the difficulty of the golf course and the tee blocks played from determining a player’s handicap prior to the start of each round.
All scores from the tournament week will be uploaded to Golflink/Golf Australia within 7 days of the tournament concluding.
For the enjoyment of all players, field sizes will be limited and experienced marshals will monitor pace of play. Tips to improve the speed of play and the penalties for slow play will be provided to all players.
In recent years the championship course underwent a complete re-design by renowned golf course architect, Graham Marsh. For those wanting the ultimate test, the Green combination course, from the championship tees, measures 6,734 metres, with six par 4s measuring over 400 metres, three par 5s, and a 201-metre par 3. It all adds up to a tough series of holes when you factor in the parade of bunkers that come into play on most holes, and the far-reaching swales surrounding a slew of elevated greens.
The Gold combination course is comprised of the Gold nine and the Blue nine. The blue nine, located on the western side of Ross Street, proves that shorter is not always easier in golf. While the longer hitters may find some par 4s reachable from the tee, they are surrounded by strategically placed bunkers. The challenge on this nine is to play smart.

The challenging 250-hectare par 72 course designed by Graham Marsh measures 6,319 meters off the championship tees and boasts opening and closing holes rated among the greatest in Australian golf. Water comes into play on 14 holes and there are 82 sand bunkers around the course.
The club has a history of providing golfing experiences that are second to none with value for money and customer satisfaction assured. The renowned reputation of unsurpassed quality and service attracts high-profile golf tournaments as well as social, charity, and corporate events. On-course food and beverage service and access to the fully licensed Lakeview Bar and Bistro will ensure your day at Palm Meadows is an enjoyable one.
Carved out of 65 hectares of native woodlands, with fairways lined by towering gum trees, this unique layout is unlike any resort course on the Gold Coast. Possessing maturity well beyond its years, Palmer Gold Coast has rapidly developed a reputation as one of Queensland’s best-loved resort courses.
Consistently ranked in the top 30 resort courses in the country, Palmer Gold Coast is a 6078-meter, 18-hole, Par 71 championship golf course (Aust Course Rating 72), designed by the Marsh / Watson team.
The rolling fairways, manicured greens, and towering eucalyptus are strikingly beautiful and blend harmoniously with the surrounding residential development. A natural water-course featuring lakes, ponds, creeks, and native wildlife completes a rare golf course environment.

This annual event is an extremely well-organised event that you would not regret attending. The golf courses played are among the best in the area and they are usually in great shape for the time of year that the event is played – as is the weather.
Al Brackley (QLD)

Brad and I would like to thank you all in person for another wonderful week on the Gold Coast. As usual, we had the best time. Top Golf was so much fun and we both think the Gala dinner at the convention centre was the best one we have attended. The music and food were wonderful.
Brad & Lynne Halberstater (QLD)
