Welcome to the Barnbougle 4 Ball Golf Tournament. You’ve heard the stories – Barnbougle is as good as it gets – deliciously unpredictable and highly addictive. It is some of the most exciting, magical golf in Australia. It is close to playing the likes of Lahinch and Ballybunion in Ireland and The Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland. And thanks to 6 different sets of tees and separate handicapped divisions, you don’t have to have a low handicap to enjoy it!
The Barnbougle 4 Ball Golf Tournament is played across 4 rounds consisting of 2 Person 4 Ball Best Ball, 2 Person Ambrose & 2 Person Aggregate. Tournament divisions are split by Men Only, Ladies Only, and Mixed Divisions. All ages and handicaps welcome. If you come alone as a single, we’ll find a partner for you.
At the Barnbougle 4 Ball Golf Tournament six teams will also be randomly drawn to form a team. Each team will be allocated a colour. Your week starts and it’s all about you! Everyone dresses up in pre-assigned colours at the welcome dinner. Prizes are awarded to the team with the best aggregate score and bonus points are up for grabs for fancy dress, chip & putt competitions and for just being yourself.
All packages include items above & 6 nights accommodation.
The Lodge provides a stylish accommodation option for those looking to wake up right on course, with each suite only a short stroll to the Lodge Restaurant, Spa, Clubhouse and first tee.
These open plan, hotel-style rooms provide a choice of views, with the Ocean View Room or the Course View Room looking out across Anderson Bay and the Lost Farm Golf Course, respectively.

In partnership with GOLFLink (Australia) and International Golf Associations, the tournament committee will review the 6-month playing history of all entrants. The tournament committee reserves the right to amend player handicaps.
The ‘slope handicap system’ will be utilised to calculate player handicaps for the Championship rounds. Under the slope system, the difficulty of the golf course and the tee blocks played from determine a player’s handicap prior to the start of each round.
Just a short pitching wedge across the river from The Dunes course lies Barnbougle’s second instalment – Lost Farm. Despite its close proximity to The Dunes, it is remarkably different, featuring 20-holes that wind along the coast and through the coastal dunes.
Ranked as the #2 public course in Australia by Golf Australia Magazine, and #23 in the World by US Golf Digest, the Lost Farm course is an exciting challenge for golfers from all levels of experience.
The elder of the two courses, The Dunes is a spectacular example of traditional Links golf. Why not take a Course Tour to become acquainted with this beautiful landscape?
Overlooking Barbougle’s pristine beach sits the stunning Dunes Clubhouse – where you can wind down between and after games with a refreshing drink and a hearty meal. The Dunes course also offers a range of services you can peruse, from club and golf cart hire to professional assistance from your own personal caddy.
Bougle Run could be Australia’s most fun golf layout. Opened in 2021, the 14-hole course comprises of 12 par-3s and two par-4s and was designed by Bill Coore, the same guy who created the Lost Farm course.
This is not your usual golf round. Group sizes can be as large as you want them, there will be no hole indexes and the variety of tee options will ensure every golfer can get some joy from their first shot – even your non-golfing partner can have a good time!
You just have to go on a Go Golfing trip to Barnbougle. The accommodation is great the golf is challenging, the organisation is spot on and the overall experience is fantastic. Mark and Cloud make sure everyone has a wonderful experience
Jen Cicchinelli, Barnbougle 2021
Impeccably organised so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Nothing is too hard for the organisers who make the experience as stress-free as possible. I loved the teams’ format. The other participants were the friendliest of any tour I have been on to date.
Kerri Basman, Barnbougle 2021
I had a great time. The courses are world-class, as are the GoGolfing tournament directors, Mark and Cloud. The “rest’ day was a lot of fun and the emphasis on enjoyment.
Maria Clarke, Barnbougle 2021
The organisation was seamless. You knew what to do, when to do, where to go and kept informed every step of the way. Mark and Cloud were amazing. To keep 60 golfers with different expectations, golfing ability and very different personalities is not easy but they handled it all amazingly. A lot if work goes on behind the scenes. The generosity of the prizes beyond believe. Venue, food and staff a credit to everyone. Even the lunches were a welcome touch. Can hardly wait to do another trip
Rhonda Hamilton, Barnbougle 2020
Fantastic.. well planned, organised and excuted. Mark and Cloud extremely professional and had the right balance between fun and seriousness. I would highly recommend Go Golfing tours and will definitely be joining another trip.. Faultless.
Kerrie Tomlinson, Barnbougle 2020
Superb, picturesque courses. Friendly company. Cloud and Mark were attentive, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Both venues and staff were excellent. Food / meals were a very good standard. Weather was balmy – little wind, sunshine, no smoke.
Kate McDougall, Barnbougle 2020
The Barnbougle Golf Challenge is an enjoyable week where you can play two of Australia’s greatest courses and relax a little more as you are on holidays. I came as a single player but Go Golfing found me a playing partner with ease. I found the pairs events great, as we could plan a strategy together. Great competition, courses, accommodation and food all week. I would recommend this tournament to all golfers. I enjoyed it very much!
Bernard Hogan, Barnbougle 2017
The Go Golfing management ensured the booking process was easy. The whole week was an unforgettable experience with great courses being both Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm played twice during the week. The company of friendly fellow golfers with time to play golf and relax made for a positive golfing holiday in a beautiful location.
Robyn Laurenson, Barnbougle 2016
