Accor Vietnam World Masters Golf Championship 19th Hole Vietnam Pullman

Goood Morning Vietnaaam!

Welcome the day with “Goood morning Vietnam” when you participate in the inaugural Accor Vietnam World Masters Golf Championship!

Robin Williams who played Adrian Cronaeur, a radio presenter in the movie, Good morning Vietnam, would begin each broadcast with a loud and cheerie “Goood morning, Vietnaaam!”

Well, you too can welcome the day with that same “Goooooood morning, Vietnaaaaam” when you participate at the inaugural Accor Vietnam World Masters, a golf championship that Go Golfing is hosting in September in Da Nang, Central Vietnam.

The Accor Vietnam World Masters will see you play at Da Nang’s world class golf courses with all the trappings of a major professional tournament. Danang Golf Club, Montgomerie Links Vietnam and Laguna Lang Co Golf Club will give you the ultimate golfing experience and you will be treated like a royalty by Vietnam’s friendly caddies.

Promoted internationally as Golf Coast Vietnam, Chairman Joe Millar says that golf visitors to the Central Coast are invariably impressed with the quality and diversity of the courses. “Montgomerie Links is a beautifully presented resort-style layout, Danang Golf Club has exposed sand dunes and a distinct links feel, while Laguna Lang Co is a multi-environment layout with jungle, creeks, rice paddy, beach and sandy blowouts.”

World Masters tournaments are open to club golfers aged 35 years and over. Competition is offered in age and handicap divisions. Playing with golfers of a similar age and standard, from all over the world, is a major drawcard for World Masters events.

More than 15,000 club golfers from 28 countries have participated in past World Masters tournaments. Fundamental to the success of past World Masters tournaments is finding world class tourism destinations with premier golf courses, well priced luxury accommodation and a variety of cultural and tourism experiences that appeal to golfers and non playing partners.

Much more than a golf tournament, there are lively social and entertainment events every night. International acts will be a highlight at the welcome and farewell celebrations. The Pullman Danang Hotel will host Vietnam’s biggest 19th hole festivities and golf presentations each night with stunning sunset views on the beach. A decadent farewell dinner caps off the fun filled week.

In just five years Da Nang has grown from no golf courses to 100,000 rounds a year. The influx of golf visitors to Da Nang since 2009 is part of a tourism boom that saw international visitors pass one million in 2014, 35 percent above 2013 arrivals.

Beyond the fairways, Da Nang is laid back and friendly, has an attractive climate, high quality accommodation, mountains and scenery, a safe environment, and fresh local cuisine. It is known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It’s a popular base for visiting the inland Bà Nà hills. Here the Hải Vân Pass has views of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains, 5 limestone outcrops that are home to caves and Buddhist shrines.

As Vietnam’s fourth largest city, Danang has long been a popular destination with three UNESCO World Heritage attractions – the ancient trading port of Hoi An, the citadel in the former imperial city of Hue, and the My Son (Hindu) Sanctuary – making it a region of immense cultural and historic importance.

The all-inclusive tournament package boasts 6 nights accommodation, 4 rounds with caddies and carts, nightly social events with food, beverage and entertainment, welcome and presentation dinners, a player pack with tournament shirt, personalised caddie bib and country flag, US$10,000 in prizes and much more. There is also an attractive program of events and day tour options for non players.

Accor, the world’s biggest chain of hotels and resorts, are the major sponsor of the Vietnam World Masters and participants can choose to stay at the Pullman Danang Beach Resort which will host all tournament functions and dinners, while the Novotel Danang Premier Han River offers a cheaper alternative.

In November 2014, tournament promoters Go Golfing and Golfasian both received top honours at the World Golf Awards in Portugal. Golfasian were awarded Asia’s Best Golf Tour Operator while Australian based Go Golfing were recognized as Oceania’s best.
