Golf Cruise Holiday

Marry your love of golf with the good life and take your clubs on a fully escorted golf cruise holiday. Much to the delight of golf travellers, Go Golfing has successfully combined golf and cruising to deliver the ultimate golf holiday to an expanding range of destinations.

Golf is played all over the world and cruising has become a worldwide holiday opportunity for golfers. When you decide to go on a golf cruise, you unpack once and discover new destinations to indulge your love of the game each morning.

Everything is taken care of

The best part is that all your golf holiday details are taken care of. Travelling with Go Golfing means that playing golf at each port of call is smooth sailing and getting to and from the courses is a breeze. All fees have been paid for and tee-off times, carts and transportation to the courses have all be arranged for you.

Cruising means you can have days of lounging under the sun by the pool, nights of great food and good wine, live music and broadway-style entertainment. There is something for everyone. Couples and travelling companions can holiday together without spending all their time together, should they choose to.

The difference

You will meet your fellow golfers and cruise host at a exclusive welcome dinner on your first night aboard to help you get oriented and organise regular social fun. Go Golfing runs a friendly individual and team competition so you can set your skills against your fellow golfers and see who the best golfer is on-board. The unique Go Golfing scoring system will see your handicap fluctuate up and down on tour depending on how you are scoring, so as to keep the competition close and fun. Interesting team names inspire friendly banter, the odd sledge and great camaraderie.

Gus and Greta de Hoogd from Melbourne loved the courses and the innovative Go Golfing scoring system on their New Zealand golf cruise:

All of the courses were great and Greta took a shine to Royal Wellington (New Zealand), playing 10 shots better than her handicap. We like the Go Golfing scoring system where your handicap goes up and down depending on how you play and being part of a team helps you to meet new people. We enjoy these tours with like-minded golf travellers who are at a similar stage in life to us.

After a day on the course, you will return to your floating resort for some 19th Hole refreshments and prize presentations. Follow this with an a la carte dinner and your choice of live music, show, casino action or simply polishing your clubs for the next day’s adventure. On the final night, we celebrate our champions and celebrate wonderful memories and new friendships on our farewell dinner. You will be able to swap tales of the best holes you have played and your favourite courses over the trip.

The Experience

Go Golfing Travel, Australia’s biggest golf travel company, hosts golf tours to more than 20 countries annually and according to the company founder, Peter McCarthy, golf cruising is relatively new. “We have hosted golf tours for 20 years now, but it is only in the last 5 years we have offered tours that combine cruising and golf.”

“We started with cruises up to the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns and Port Douglas, however without fixed ports, having to catch smaller tender vessels to shore with golf clubs wasn’t ideal. Most of our clients are in 50’s, 60’s and some in their 70’s, so we now just offer cruise destinations where we can walk off the ship and straight onto a waiting coach to the golf course. New Zealand and Hawaii are just perfect. We typically take 30 golfers at a time and we had more than 50 on the waitlist. Golf cruising is proving to be massively popular.”

Pam and Gerrit de Boer from Muswellbrook were in high praise of the Go Golfing cruise experience.

The service onboard was so good and there’s almost as many crew as there are guests. Our cabin steward carried our golf clubs on and off the ship for us. Peter from Go Golfing was a generous host, supremely organised and made it so much fun.
