Is This Event for A Grade Golfers?

ALL club golfers are eligible to enter. At the Ladbrokes Gold Coast World Masters you are guaranteed to play with people your own age and standard.  In fact there are 18 tournament divisions mixed by age, handicap and gender – everyone has a chance to win!

Do I need an Official Handicap to Play?

YES! However, if you do not have an official handicap you can apply for an official handicap with GOLF LINK through the Go Golfing Membership program. Simply sign up by clicking here. You will also get $50 off your tournament package for becoming a member!

Do I have to be over 35 years of age to play?

YES! Only golfers aged 35 years or older as of October 23 2016 are eligible to play in this event.

Is there a maximum handicap?

YES! The maximum handicap for each division does not restrict you from entering the tournament but does mean that higher handicaps must play off the maximum handicap as stated below;

35-55    A,B,C grade (max h’cap 30men; 40 ladies)
56-65    A,B,C grade (max h’cap 30men; 40 ladies)
66+       A,B,C grade (max h’cap 36men; 45 ladies)

Can I play with my friends?

YES! On the registration form there is a section to write your friend’s name(s). Tournament organizers will ensure you have the same tee off time as your friends and will confirm this with you a couple of weeks before you arrive.

Note: Go Golfing cannot guarantee the same course as your friends

Are range finders and distance measuring devices allowed?

YES! Go Golfing approves the use of range finders and distance measuring devices. We recommend our partners Golf Buddy who have specials on for all event participants.

Can non-Australian golfers play in this event?

YES! The Gold Coast WORLD Masters Golf Championship is an internationally listed event. It welcomes over 15 nationalities each year to the Gold Coast. So long as you are over the age of 35 and have an official handicap in your home country, you can tee it up in the Masters.

How do I get to the golf courses and functions?

Go Golfing offers an event transport package that includes round trip transport to golf (4 courses), welcome and presentation dinners. Non Golfers – Return transfers to dinners and non-golfer activities. Book on entry form for only $99 per golfer or $49 per non golfer!

Do I have to pay upfront?

NO! A deposit of AUD 250 will secure your accommodation, golf package and optional package costs for the tournament. The final balance will be due October 1st 2016.

What if I cancel, do I get a refund?

YES!  Please check the event booking terms and conditions for details.

Note: Refunds for cancelled accommodation will be subject to the standard terms and conditions of each property.

My spouse/friend is a non-golfer. What do you offer for them?

YES! Non golfers deserve a great week away from the daily routine too. They join golfers for all social occasions such as the Welcome and Presentation Dinners. They also have sightseeing and social activities planned just for them. Just like the golfers, they can also opt for the special pamper upgrade.
