Ian & Kate at the Gold Coast World Masters

My very best memory of Go Golfing – and there are thousands. Kate and I attended the Go Golfing Ladies Masters event at Royal Pine. Kate had just started playing golf and I qualified to play in the Pro-Am. There was one space left, Kate’s name was drawn out to play and she said I am not good enough. The ladies said no matter, you will be fine. Kate had the best time and lasting memories forever thanks to Go Golfing and the person who pulled her name out of the hat. Thank Pete keep up the amazing golf events

Glen runner up in A grade in 2018

Our first GC Masters over a decade ago, we met an old grey haired man with a Go Golfing lanyard standing with a lovely young lady who also had a lanyard on. We thought that’s nice his daughter is doing the event with him. We started chatting & have been great friends since. Turns out it’s his wife!

Scott with his C Grade trophy

My husband Scott won C Grade at Gold Coast World Masters in his first Go Golfing event. Having just started playing to the highest handicaps Scott thought I was an embarrassment entering GCWM. I failed at getting Scott signed up. Go Golfing phoned and talked Scott into it. You’ve got us!

Go Golfing's Warm Welcome to China

The inaugural China Tour in 2016, my first tour. Pandas, Tai Chi, opera, banquets, golf and much more for the VIP Australians. At Tea Valley, a large banner “Warmly welcome Peter’s friends come from Australia”. Even Peter was lost for words, momentarily. An exceptional introduction to GoGolfing tour model

Di Hoschke

Shelly Beach (QLD)

Ross and Di at Sanctuary Cove

Sanctuary Cove did not start well. We lost our clubs and then our room was downgraded. Disappointing as this was Di and my first trip together. Go Golfing to the rescue. Hire clubs were organised and our room upgraded to a suite. Di also received a voucher from Peter. Memorable week, Di and I bonded and more trips planned.

Terry teeing off at Banff Springs

A bit of a scary moment in Canada 2008 at Banff Springs. We were on the fairway before we noticed this “god-awful” smell. Soon found the source, a male grizzly bear urinating to mark his territory. He stood up and was about 10feet tall then started to run toward us on green! We took off, pedal to the metal to escape. Fools behind chased bear for pics.

Mike with not old Tony at the Gold Coast Masters

Having been travelling with Go Golfing for over 20 years, I have had many great times and memories. The one that stands out is playing with old Tony from NZ at Royal Pines. He was hungover from the previous night and not very healthy. At about the 5th hole he disappeared down to a pond and dropped his dacks…

John and friends in South Africa

I do remember a funny time at the end of a prolonged 3-hour stopover at Joburg airport also at the end of the excellent 2017 South African Tour which was made more bearable as the hours went on by being in the Business Lounge with Michelle and I and many of the Go Golfing group including Peter and Silvie. Needless to say we were all really enjoying ourselves as the alcohol kept flowing and the unusual garish décor of the lounge also became more surreal as well. The chairs were were all very high backed red velour like something out of Alice in Wonderland and we thought it was hilarious as we became louder and louder. Suddenly the call to board came and we had to all quickly gather ourselves and move on. As Peter and I happened to be walking out together side by side we were intercepted by a terse looking lady who must have been getting more and more annoyed with our behaviour so she stepped right in front of us and demanded to know ….. Where are you from? Peter and I lurched to a halt and after a short gap of hesitation and without even looking at each other we both blurted out in amazingly synchronized unison to her….. New Zealand!

Graeme on Swilken Bridge

Went on a tour to Scotland and visited St Andrews Old Course. Stood on the Swilken Bridge between the 17th Green and the 18th Fairway. Also stood behind the group hitting off on the 1st Hole on the Old Course. Had investigated having a game at St Andrews, no game due to cost. So I loved the visit and photos.

Keith & Kellie toasting in New Zealand

Kellie and I have done about 10 trips with Go Golfing. One memorable moment during the Canada trip which included a visit to the Mission Hill winery was when our lady French Canadian host completed her presentation about the wines with a toast to us of “Up your Bottoms!” (learnt from an Aussie).

Heather Lawrence with friends at the Hobart World Masters in 2002

We’ve done a few trips with Go Golfing, here is a pic from the Hobart Masters in 2002. I think the first trip we did might have been to the Hunter. Mary came to chauffeur us to the venue. Fun times, never too serious. Good luck and good fortune. You’re a top team.

The 2011 NZ South Island group on a jet boat

On the 2011 NZ South island trip, we went straight from Queenstown airport on a jet boat ride. One of our group members, who was in his 90s, arrived in a suit and tie. This was much to the amusement of the boat driver who said it was the first time he had a passenger in a suit and tie on his boat.

Bill teeing off beside the Red Sea

My favourite memory was the first tour we did with Go Golfing in 2007, which happened to be the first tour you took to Egypt. What was the best memory? How could one pick from the banquet provided. From the first welcoming dinner with the allocation of teams, the Calcutta which raised 16000 Egyptian pounds for charity, to the succession of historical sights which followed  and the privilege of playing on the magnificent  golf courses of Cairo and on the Red Sea. All to quickly our 14 days were gone and we were on our way to Denmark to see our son and his family to round out what was some of the most wonderful weeks of our life.
