Modern hi-rises line the harbour shore and beyond the mystical mountains of Victoria Peak. A visit to Hong Kong would not be complete without hitting the harbour on a star ferry, perhaps one of the best ways to appreciate the city, the history of the ferry dates back to 1880. It is said that the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple in Hong Kong is the place to visit if you have a long standing wish that’s yet to come true. But more than a good omen, the shrine is a place to admire it’s reverent beauty and importance to community. An afternoon of market hopping awaits with visits to the Jade Market, Ladies Market, exotic bird garden and the famous Temple Street market where we will be able to bargain and shop till our hearts content. We then board the ferry and head to the bright lights of Macau! Evening at leisure.

Ola! Today we experience the wonders of Portugal in Asia! We make the pilgrimage to Penha Hill, the hill is home to Our Lady of Penha Chapel completed in 1837. Expansive views stretch out beyond Macau to the Pearl River in China. We will be amongst the action when thousands of faithful join the annual procession through the narrow streets of Macau then take a spiritual journey to the A-Ma Temple, a Taoist temple and the oldest of it’s kind in the region more than 500 years old. We will scale the heights of the Macau Tower for a bird’s eye view (interestingly, the tower was designed to replicate the Sky Tower in Auckland) of the city and for the adventurous the tethered Skyjump and Bungee Jump are optional. The village precinct of the Fishermans Wharf is a popular destination for those looking for one stop shopping, dining and entertainment.
