Starting in San Francisco with famous and infamous Alcatraz our experienced host will then guide you through rich Californian wine country and onto the prestigious Pebble Beach region. From Pebble its on to the resort town of Palm Springs and the stunning La Quinta Resort before our tour travels south to San Diego and finishes with a flourish at Torrey Pines.

DAY 1: Sunday 16 September
Arrive in San Francisco no later than 5pm to join official welcome dinner where we will get to know each other and receive a tour briefing. Check in Fairmont San Francisco. Contact our experienced travel consultants for an obligation free flight quotation.
DAY 2: Monday 17 September
Full breakfast served in the stately Laurel Court Restaurant before we experience San Francisco up close. Tour highlights include the Golden Gate Bridge, declared one of the modern Wonders of the World and the longest suspension bridge with it’s total length spanning over 2.7kms. We also visit the former maximum security prison of Alcatraz once home to the America’s most dangerous prisoners, now a haven to an abundant floral ecosystem. Evening at leisure. Make sure you find time to check out the Tonga Room and bar for it’s vibrant atmosphere a playground for celebrities.
DAY 3: Tuesday 18 September
Following a wholesome breakfast in the Laurel restaurant we transfer to Presidio Country Club. Located just minutes from downtown San Francisco, this championship course winds through beautiful eucalyptus and Monterey pine trees set within the city’s trademark hills. This afternoon we travel to the beautiful wine region of the Napa Valley just 45 miles from San Francisco and check in to the Meritage Resort & Spa. The resort enjoys a range of luxury facilities including a spa with steam grottos, private vineyard and wine cave. Evening at leisure.
DAY 4: Wednesday 19 September
Breakfast in the Siena Restaurant before we make the short transfer to Eagle Vines Vineyards and Golf Course. Set amongst cherry trees and towering oaks and winding through babbling creeks and shimmering waterfalls you will appreciate the beautiful landscape and challenging layout presented amid the vines. This afternoon we’ll visit 2 of the regions premium wineries and sample their finest before our private winemakers dinner with wines expertly matched.
DAY 5: Thursday 20 September
Following our sumptuous breakfast we board the coach and start our way down the coast toward the seaside hamlet of Monterey and check into the boutique Carmel Valley Ranch. Extending from the coastal village of Carmel-by-the-Sea into the heart of the Santa Lucia Mountains the resort make the most of it’s ideal location in the hills with walking trails, vineyard, tennis courts, bee apiary, organic garden and full service Aiyana Spa on 500 lush acres, not to mention the golf course on site (optional golf available this afternoon). DAY 6: Friday 21 September
Breakfast at the Ranch before we play the Pete Dye designed championship course at Carmel Valley Ranch. The course has just recently completed a multi-million restoration, the rolling fairways now feature enlarged greens and refurbished bunkers providing a new challenge and enhanced experience. Afternoon at leisure.
DAY 7: Saturday 22 September
Get the day started off well with a hearty breakfast at the Ranch before our transfer to Pebble Beach for our round at world famous The Links. You sense the presence of golf’s biggest legends. Set along rugged coastline, providing wide-open vistas, cliffside fairways and sloping greens. Pebble proudly boasts the title of hosting the most majors. Every golfer deserves to play Pebble at least once. There’s no time like the present. At leisure.
DAY 8: Sunday 23 September
Following breakfast we depart Carmel Valley and make our way inland to Palm Springs by coach. A scenic drive with noticeable topography changes as head towards the desert resort town (lunch stop included). On arrival we’ll find a lush oasis in the rugged desert. This afternoon we check in to La Quinta Resort.
DAY 9: Monday 24 September
Breakfast in the modern American bistro Twenty6, ten different eggs Benedict to try before our morning round at PGA West-Nicklaus Course. Long hitters will appreciate the opportunity for power off the tee with room for forgiveness, while elevated greens require you to literally raise your short game to another level. Design intensity balanced by dramatic beauty. Evening at leisure.
DAY 10: Tuesday 25 September
A hearty American style breakfast and then on to the widely regarded PGA West –Norman Course. Set on what was once the floor of an ancient ocean, Norman has captured the essence of desert golf in this challenging layout featuring an abundance of sand, sage, pockets of wildflowers, nine lakes and unmatched views. Evening at leisure.
DAY 11: Wednesday 26 September
A relaxed day of travel following our breakfast and check out of La Quinta. We head south west to the cosmopolitan city of San Diego. Known for it’s idyllic weather and 70 miles of pristine beaches San Diego offers an expansive variety of things to see and do. Check in to the centrally located Hyatt Manchester Downtown. Afternoon and evening at leisure
DAY 12: Thursday 27 September
Indulge in breakfast at Sally’s on the boardwalk. This morning we transfer to the Internationally acclaimed Torrey Pines for the first of our rounds in San Diego. Situated majestically atop cliffs towering above the Pacific Ocean, the South Course was the host of the 2008 US Open Championship. Boasting a dramatic coastline and views as well as some of the most challenging golf in the country. Evening at leisure.
DAY 13: Friday 28 September
A relaxed breakfast at Sally’s prior to our full day city tour. Highlights include The Gaslamp Quarter - Southern California’s premier dining, shopping and entertainment district. Balboa Park, home to 15 museums, various arts and international culture, Mount Soledad with it’s privileged 360-degree views. We’ll finish our day with a cruise taking in the magnificent harbour and skyline.
DAY 14: 29 September
A fitting finale for our incredible golfing experiences is to play Torrey Pines North Golf Course. It’s signature hole is one of the most famous in all of golf. A downhill par 3 with a sweeping view along rugged ocean cliffs and out across the Pacific Ocean. It’s not uncommon to spot dolphins frolicking. This evening we’ll celebrate our champions during our farewell dinner and reflect on the wonderful highlights of our trip.
AY 15: 30 September
Breakfast and check out. Transfer to the San Diego airport for your homeward or onward journey. Our Las Vegas Tour is a great way to extend the fun! 30 Sept-6 Oct 6 nights/ 4rounds.
BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS: The person effecting a booking shall be deemed to have accepted the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons named on the booking form. The contract will be governed by the booking conditions. Any variation to your booking requirements must be made in writing. All monies received by us will be deposited in a trust account. Go Golfing Travel Pty Ltd retains the right to disburse monies paid by you to operators and service providers as required.
CHANGES IN PRICES OR ITINERARY: Prices are based on tariffs current as at 9 Dec, 2011. If we are forced to change your booking or any part of it for reasons beyond our control, we will give you notice thereof, including any change in price. In the event that any change to your itinerary demonstrates that your tour has become materially different from the original, you have the right to ask for a rearrangement or withdraw from the tour. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking because of events outside our control we will, if able, offer alternative arrangements. If you do not accept the alternative, we will refund any monies still held by us. Prices based on a minimum 20 passengers.
AIRFARES: Travel associated with Go Golfing tours can be made by clients, at preferential rates, directly with Go Golfing Travel Pty Ltd. Licence number 2TA5414. Flights booked with Go Golfing Travel require full payment at time of booking and are subject to the terms and conditions of the corresponding airline.
TOUR COSTS: The tour costing is per person based on sharing twin/double room. The tour cost is in Australian dollars and could fluctuate if unforeseen exchange rates occur.
DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS: A non refundable deposit of $3000 per person must accompany this booking application. A second deposit of $2,000 per person is due and payable before 31 May 2012. The balance of monies owing (inc. any optional extras) is due and payable before 10 July 2012. Failure to adhere to this payment schedule may jeopardise your further inclusion on the tour.
$100 discount for Go Golfing Members: This $100 discount will be deducted from the final balance on receipt of your deposit.
PAYMENT TYPES: Cheque payments should be made payable to Go Golfing Travel Pty Ltd. We accept Mastercard and Visa Card payments. Note: payment by these credit cards will attract a credit card surcharge equal to 1.5% of the payment amount.
CANCELLATION: Should you cancel your booking the following cancellation charges will apply:- More than 70 days prior to departure - Loss of deposit. Inside 70 days - Up to 100%* *Refunds will be determined on the basis of the amount we are able to recover from suppliers paid on your behalf. No refund is available for cancellations on or after the date of departure or in respect of any accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised. Some local operators apply individual cancellation charges that will affect the total amount of cancellation fees charged.
