Themed holidays fast becoming the preferred option for Australian travellers
Themed holidays are fast becoming a major trend for holidaymakers seeking all the sights of a destination within a short timeframe by following planned travel itineraries.

“We have had over 20 years experience in providing complete golf tour packages that include all holiday accommodation, golf, transfers, flights and car hire,” Mr McCarthy says.

“Our inaugural Vietnam cooking tour is the first of many non-golf tours we have planned and it will be personally hosted by Go Golfing travel staff from 7-16 October this year.”
Mr McCarthy says during the nine-day tour, travellers will participate in three Vietnamese gourmet cooking experiences.
“Clients will partake in cooking classes at Tinh Gia Vien House Restaurant with Ms Ton Nu Ha, Red Bridge Cooking School and Saigon Culinary Art Centre,” Mr McCarthy says.
“The Vietnam Gourmet Cooking Tour travels through several exquisite regions of Vietnam where people will discover the range of flavours from each region.”
“The trip offers opportunities to mix with the locals, learn the cooking techniques of Vietnam and receive tips on authentic cooking as well as learning new recipes.
“Getting amongst the culture at the local markets will allow for tour members to interact with the locals while purchasing cooking ingredients at market stalls.”
Mr McCarthy says Go Golfing Travel’s manager Rebecca Barnett will be hosting the tour in October.
“Rebecca already has a sense of the locations and culture after travelling to Vietnam herself in 2005,” Mr McCarthy says.
“She travelled by over night bus and train from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi for two weeks backpacking, and stopped off at costal towns along the way.
“During her trip she explored the Cu Chi tunnels, had mud baths in Nha Trang and had a traditional Vietnamese outfit made for her by tailors in Hoi An.”
“Travellers accompanying Rebecca on the tour will get more than just a taste of Vietnamese foods during their trip.”
