With a pristine lake at its doorstep, surrounded by the spectacular Southern Alps, Wanaka is the perfect introduction to the South Island’s world renowned natural beauty. We check into the well-appointed Mercure Oakridge Resort, Wanaka. This evening, enjoy a fantastic welcome dinner with drinks to kick off your tour in style and get to know your fellow travellers.

(D) Hotel: Mercure Oakridge Resort Wanaka

DAY 2: 22 March WANAKA

This morning, we board our coach to enjoy the sights of Wanaka. After lunch, we make our way to Wanaka Golf Club for our first taste of golf. The Wanaka Golf Club layout was first established in 1922, and after relocating in the 1930’s, the present layout was established in 1967. Offering some of the most spectacular views in New Zealand, and a true local’s gem, it is the perfect start.
Non-golfers: You’ll enjoy a leisurely day in picturesque Wanaka. You’ll fall for Wanaka’s overwhelming scenery, crystal water and delightful summer weather. With boutique shopping, art galleries, lovely cafes and charming gift stores, it is reminiscent of a cosmopolitan city – without the crowds.
The evening is at leisure.

(B) Hotel: Mercure Oakridge Resort Wanaka

After breakfast, we say goodbye to Wanaka and hello Queenstown. It’s a magnificent town surrounded by the soaring indigo heights of the Remarkables and framed by meandering coves of Lake Wakatipu. No one has ever visited here and said, “I’m bored”.
The level of excitement builds as we are playing Jack’s Point this afternoon. Like Queenstown, it is bounded by the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu and traverses through wetland to the lake edge, encountering steep bluffs and wildlife.

Optional: Extreme Golf Experience

This is the ultimate. After golf, be picked up by helicopter to tee off from 4,500 feet. Nestled in the Southern Alps this par 3 unique golf experience overlooking Queenstown has four tee boxes to attempt your hole in one. Additional cost applies.

Non-golfers: You’ll be whisked into Queenstown after dropping our golfing companions off to Jack’s Point. Design your own afternoon and discover the beauty of Queenstown at your leisure.
After golf, we check into our beautifully appointed hotel, where the vistas are the stuff of postcards. Crafted from centuries-old-schist stone and cedar this is the perfect place to spend our time in Queenstown.

(B) Hotel: Heritage Queenstown

Today you will have the opportunity to choose your own adventure. There’s plenty to keep you occupied here, after all, this is the adventure capital of the world!
Optional Excursion: Milford Sound Day Tour with Cruise
The journey to Milford Sound is just as spectacular as the destination itself. Whether you travel by road or by air, one thing is for certain, once you arrive you’ll be instantly mesmerized by the beauty of the place. You’ll cruise through the untouched wilderness of Fiordland National Park. The Park is over 1.2 million hectares in size, it encompasses mountains, lakes, forests and fiords. Here, the scale is beyond comprehension, the mountains and the valleys compete with each other for room. This is a day tour you won’t forget. Additional costs apply.

(B) Hotel: Heritage Queenstown

Today we take to the fairways of Queenstown Golf Club, known locally as Kelvin Heights. Voted New Zealand’s most scenic golf course, it is set in the amphitheatre of the famous Remarkables Mountain Range and surrounded by the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu. The undulating fairways are framed by well-established pine trees and the signature 5th hole is sure to have you reaching for your camera. We may stay a little longer at the 19th to savour the amazing views.
Non-golfers: Enjoy a relaxing one-hour spa treatment of your choice and unwind whilst our golfers are on the course.

(B) Hotel: HeritageQueenstown

After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour of the charming and quirky Arrowtown. A delightful gold rush village nestled below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River. After our morning of sightseeing, we make our way to New Zealand’s best known golf resort – Millbrook. Designed by New Zealand’s doyen of golf, Sir Bob Charles, Millbrook is set in a natural, alpine amphitheatre. Featuring impeccably groomed fairways and greens, demanding hazards and meandering water courses, surrounded by the alpine backdrop of the Remarkables Mountain Range, golf at Millbrook Resort is an exhilarating experience.
Non-golfers: Take the Millbrook shuttle back into Queenstown and spend your afternoon exploring the city at your own pace.

(B) Hotel: Heritage Queenstown

Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch before we set off to the Gibbston Valley with its world-class wines, award-winning pinot noirs and produce to match. Gibbston Valley Winery is home to New Zealand’s largest wine cave. We’ll enjoy a tour of the cave and chocolate tasting before we take the Skyline Gondola to the top of Bob’s Peak to bask in the views 450m above Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. Evening at leisure.

(B) Hotel: Heritage Queenstown

To everyone’s delight, we return to the incredible Jack’s Point for our final round today. Following golf, there will be some time to celebrate at the 19th, before we make our way back into Queenstown. Tonight we’ll get together for our presentation dinner with drinks where we toast our champions and celebrate wonderful memories and new friendships. Optional: Extreme Golf Experience
