Fly into Auckland, where you’ll board your private transfer to your hotel. This fantastic hotel in the heart of the city is the perfect base to discover the city and viaduct precinct. This evening we meet our fellow travellers and kick off the tour with a welcome dinner including beverages.

After breakfast, we start our golf in spectacular fashion at Titirangi. Ranked as one of New Zealand’s top courses, it is the only one in the country designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie. You’d expect something special from the designer of the illustrious Augusta National and you won’t be disappointed.
Non-golfers: Today, you’ll cruise the sparkling waters of Auckland’s beautiful Waitemata Harbour and learn about the city’s best-loved landmarks.
(B) Hotel: Crowne Plaza Auckland
This morning, we play Gulf Harbour. Spectacular nishing holes, ocean views, rolling terrain and designed by one of the world’s great designers, Robert Trent Jones II, all combine to make this course one of the most exciting golf layouts in New Zealand.
Non-golfers: You are free to explore Auckland. It is a hub of urban delights. Spoil yourself with world class shopping, indulge in Paci c-Rim cuisine overlooking the harbour and socialise around the buzzing waterfront.
In the afternoon, there is time for everyone to attempt a trip up the Sky Tower, the tallest building in the Southern hemisphere. The adventurous can try the SkyWalk, where you walk on a platform high above the city for some extreme sightseeing.
(B) Hotel: Crowne Plaza Auckland
Today we farewell Auckland and travel via Rotorua to Lake Taupo. When we reach Rotorua, you will be surprised by the distinctive smell of the sulphur that emanates from the underground hot springs. This is when you know that you are very close to the hot centre of the planet and what it means to sit on the edge of the Paci c Rim of Fire. Rotorua is a spectacular geothermal wonderland bursting with bubbling mud pools, clouds of steam and natural hot springs.
We stop at the Maori Village of Whakarewarewa. Set amidst a landscape of erupting geothermal activity and hot thermal springs, you’ll enjoy a cultural show and a traditional Hangi luncheon.
Fresh from our cultural experience, we continue on to Waikite Valley Thermal Pools. Explore the area by taking a stroll on the Te Manaroa Spring Eco-Trail or head straight in to soak in the rejuvenating hot mineral waters. This afternoon, we check into the opulent Hilton Lake Taupo.

This morning our third round of golf is played at The Kinloch Club. Often compared to some of the best links layouts in Scotland, this world-class Jack Nicklaus design is a true links masterpiece and was voted in the world’s top 100 courses.
Non-golfers: This morning, you are free to explore Lake Taupo. Galleries, designer shops and home design stores are plentiful so you can take a little piece of Great Lake Taupo home with you.
(B) Hotel: Hilton Lake Taupo
After breakfast, the acclaimed Wairakei International awaits. This Peter Thompson classic design sits on spectacular rolling and untouched countryside.
Non-golfers: Today you’ll indulge in a day of pampering and relaxation at a thermal health spa. There you’ll be treated to a relaxing massage and rejuvenate in a series of hot thermal pools that will have you feeling on top of the world long after you’ve left.
After golf, we continue on to Napier, where we check in at the delightful County Hotel. Tonight we enjoy a group dinner after which we’ll retire to the hotel library for a well deserved glass of port.

Today we travel to Black Barn Vineyards where you’ll be introduced to some of the Hawke’s Bay region’s finest produce over lunch, and enjoy a tasting of limited release wines.
In the afternoon, we go on a guided walk that will take you into the heart of Napier’s Art Deco Quarter, revealing the story of the 1931 earthquake and introducing you to the Art Deco style that the city is renowned for worldwide.
(B, L) Hotel: The County Hotel, Napier
There is an air of excitement at breakfast knowing today we play at the world famous Cape Kidnappers, ranked in the top 20 courses worldwide. It is both beautiful and compelling. It takes a full 20 minutes to drive from the gate to the clubhouse – through a sheep and cattle station. This seclusion means that the golf course is on pristine land on the edge of towering cliffs high above the ocean. Architect Tom Doak has designed a course of great drama, interest, originality and beauty.
Non-golfers: Take time to enjoy Art Deco Napier and everything it has to offer.
(B) Hotel: The County Hotel, Napier
After breakfast, we check out and take the scenic route along Hawkes Bay and the Wellington Wine Trail to arrive in Martinborough. Packed with colonial charm, it has been proclaimed the gourmet capital of the lower north island. We’ll stop at the Martinborough Brewery for tapas and beer tasting.
We end our travels today in gorgeous Wellington where we check into Rydges Hotel.

After breakfast, we prepare ourselves for our final round at Royal Wellington Golf Club. Steeped in history and tradition the club has hosted NZ Open championships since 1912, and it became the first and only golf club in the country to receive royal status in 2004. It is the perfect finale to our golf.Tonight we have a celebratory dinner toasting our victors and new friendships.
Non-golfers: This morning you are free to discover Wellington. It has hill-top lookouts, waterfront promenades and craggy shorelines to the south. Downtown, the compact centre vibrates with museums, theatres, galleries, boutiques and bars.
(B, D) Hotel: Rydges Wellington
After breakfast some of you will bid farewell to New Zealand and transfer to Wellington Airport for your flight home. Others will board a short flight to Queenstown for the start of Go Golfing’s South Island Tour. (B)
