YOUR JOURNEY

Fully escorted, this luxury tour to the South of France will seduce you. With its blue skies, breathtaking scenery and downright swanky courses along the Côte d’Azur, the French Riviera is a golfer’s paradise. Set amongst the rolling hills of the hinterland or overlooking the Mediterranean, each fairway is more beautiful than the last. It will be near-impossible to have a bad game. And even if you do spend half the day in the bunkers, there’s plenty of fine restaurants, and beach clubs along the Riviera to cheer you up!

The French Riviera is known the world over for its glamour and beauty. From the see-and-be-seen beaches of St Tropez, the boardwalks of Cannes and Monaco to the lavender fields of Grasse and the medieval villages of St Paul de Vence, you’ll immerse yourself in the local way of life. The tour is beautifully paced and allows you time to enjoy your holiday. Non-golfing partners are also well-looked after.

Food is a central part of French life, and in Provence it is an all-consuming passion. You’ll dine at a 3 star Michelin restaurant – also ranked 1st in the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” in 2019.

It’s not all glitz and glamour. Finding the hidden Riviera is easier than you might expect. We’ll take a 15-minute boat ride to an unspoilt archipelago of four islands, home to a community of Cistercian monks for 1,500 years.

Come early and take some time to enjoy Paris and play Le Golf National which hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup. We invite you to discover your next holiday to the South of France.

DAY 1 | Monday 14 September | NICE

Welcome! You have arrived on the French Riviera. You’ll be greeted at Nice Airport for your private transfer to the AC Hotel Nice by Marriott. Overlooking the beach and the iconic Promenade des Anglais, it’s the perfect spot to start your French sojourn.

DAY 2 | Tuesday 15 September | NICE

Today you are in for an unparalleled Provençal gastronomic experience as we hold our welcome lunch in a triple Michelin star restaurant, Mirazur, in Menton a small seaside village on the Italian border. Chef Mauro Colagreco earned the number one title in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2019.

After lunch, we make our way to Monte Carlo along the famous ‘high Corniche’ with its breathtaking views. The petite principality of Monaco is a bastion of glitz and glamour. Take the time to observe the superyachts at the harbour – or better yet, make friends with someone who owns one.

This evening you may wish to wrap up your day with a spin at the opulent Monte Carlo Casino. Just remember, you’ve got golf tomorrow!

DAY 4 | Thursday 17 September | NICE TO TOURRETTES

Today we make our way to Tourrettes. Beyond the coast, the region is home to spectacular hilltop villages and mountain scenery, along with vineyards and flower farms that feed the French perfumers.

We’ll stop in St Paul de Vence, one of the oldest medieval towns on the Riviera and an enclave for contemporary artists. You’ll enjoy the far-reaching views, the art galleries, the quirky little streets covered in flowers and street fountains.

We’ll continue on to Grasse, the fragrance capital of France, and enjoy a tour of the Musée International de la Parfumerie. This afternoon, you’ll create your own perfume during a playful and captivating experience on the creation of a scent.

After we check into Terre Blanche Golf Resort, awarded “France’s Best Golf Hotel” and “France’s Leading Resort this year, we’ll get together for a friendly chipping and putting competition.

The resort is part art gallery, part international golf training ground, part vacation enclave, part culinary destination and more. In other words, it’s nearly heaven.

Tonight, you have 4 different dining options onsite or you may just wish to sip on a glass of Rosé in your luxurious suite whilst enjoying the Provençal landscape and soothing sound of cicadas.

DAY 5 | Friday 18 September | TOURRETTES

Architect Dave Thomas, famous for The Belfry, a three-time Ryder Cup venue, designed both the Le Château Course and the Le Riou Course at Terre Blanche. They offer plenty of eye candy in the form of man-made water features that complement idyllic hills and the surrounding forest.

Today you’ll tee off at Le Riou. It’s 700 yards shorter than Le Château course and more engaging for all skill levels. It’s also more exclusive, as only resort guests and members may play it. Each nine ends memorably – a waterfall framing the par-4 ninth hole and a glorious risk-reward par 5 at the 18th.

Non-golfers will be pampered with a glorious 60-minute body massage and time out in the resort spa.

Enjoy an evening at leisure.

(B) Hotel: Terre Blanche Golf Resort, Tourrettes

Ranked in France’s top 10, it has hosted three-times the French Riviera Masters, an event on the European Senior Tour. The waterfall on the par-3 second and the pond on the par-5 sixth add scenery and difficulty on each hole.

Set under the impressive Rocher de Roquebrune, which glows a flamboyant red at sunset, the course winds around the Endre River and a series of water obstacles, among dry garrigue, veteran oaks and umbrella pines. Watch out for the signature par 3 13th which dives down sharply to a peninsula green.

After dropping the golfers off, non-golfers will head to Draguignan to explore its delights before returning to St Endreol for lunch (own cost).

This afternoon, we check in to the iconic Hôtel Byblos, right in the heart of Saint Tropez and known for its rich history and celebrity guests. It has hosted Grace Kelly, Mick Jagger, George Clooney and even Prince Charles.

Tonight, you’re the celebrity, so head to one of the beach clubs for a sunset cocktail. Club 55 continues the legend that Brigitte Bardot started back in 1955, while Bagatelle beach club is the cool new kid on the block. Nikki Beach, meanwhile, continues to create all-white party mayhem around the pool just behind the beach.

After lunch, we’ll visit a winery to sip on a locally produced glass of rosé, St Tropez’s specialty.

This evening just step out of the hotel to wander the streets and dine at a local restaurant.

A very professionally run golf tour company that provides a fantastic mix of golf and sightseeing, whilst meeting other people that shared the same interests.

Peta, Canada 2017

I would recommend to anyone to travel with Go Golfing. The accommodation was first class. The golf courses were absolutely brilliant and in mint condition.

Wendy, Dubai 2018

The trip was a fantastic experience, the people and hosts were terrific. This was our first tour so we had no specific expectations. The golf courses were exceptional, the accommodation throughout was excellent and couldn’t be faulted.

Chris, Vietnam 2018

I chose this trip because it was an organised combination of golf and sightseeing with 5-star hotels and highly rated golf courses that we would most likely never otherwise have the opportunity to play.

Diane, Spain & Portugal 2018

Highlights are hard to pinpoint as the whole trip was a highlight. As a first-timer with Go Golfing, I think the trip was well-organised.

Marion

As a first-time non-golfer, the trip was great. The accommodation was excellent, the people were all very friendly, the host was excellent and looked after us well.

Wendy, Japan 2019
