Straight after the Wrest Point Masters join us for a fun filled tour of northern Tasmania’s acclaimed visitor experiences and the stunning Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links. Here’s what we have in store for you!
Day 1 • Saturday 10 January
Today we travel by luxury coach from Wrest Point to Barnbougle Dunes Golf links. Along the way we stop at Bothwell to play a few holes on the oldest course in the southern hemisphere. Play the 18th with hickory shafted clubs and old fashioned golf balls known as ‘featheries’. Steeped in golfing history, Bothwell is also home to the Australasian Golf Museum. Enjoy a gourmet lunch while you marvel at the most stunning collection of golfing memorabilia outside of St Andrews in Scotland. Following lunch it is just over two hours to Barnbougle Dunes where we will arrive in time for a stunning sunset. Time to refresh and settle in before a welcome dinner featuring the freshest local produce. (L, D)
Day 2 • Sunday 11 January
A hearty breakfast before testing your skills on the famed ‘Barnbougle Dunes Links, rated Australia's number 1 public access course. Scenic walks and beach fishing are a popular afternoon activity and dinner is at your leisure. (B)
Day 3 • Monday 12 January
With yesterday’s round still fresh in your mind and armed with course knowledge your walk to the first tee is full of anticipation and rare excitement. We depart Barnbougle Dunes for Launceston stopping along the way at the multi award winning Jansz Champagne House and Neighbouring Pipers Brook Vineyard for tastings and lunch. Late afternoon check-in to the Villas at Country Club Tasmania. Evening at leisure. (B, L)
Day 4 • Tuesday 13 January
Breakfast at leisure before a scenic 20 minute drive through town and across the Tamar River to the picturesque Riverside Golf Club. This afternoon there is ample time to explore Launceston’s city sights and attractions. This evening we have presentations for our golfing winners and enjoy the company of new friends in the stylish Links Restaurant for our final dinner. (B, D)
Day 5 • Wednesday 14 January
Breakfast is included before a 10am transfer to Launceston airport for your flight home. We recommend departures after 11am. It is just 15 minutes to the airport if you prefer a later flight or choose to extend your stay. (B)
